Zedura Magazine had it’s first SDCC this year and it was an amazing experience! We had some amazing prizes to raffle off, including the chance to meet Stan Lee, and five lucky fans did just that. From what we were told, it was an amazing experience.
So, you may be wondering, what’s SDCC all about? Well, for 40 years now, San Diego has been host to the largest comic book convention in this part of the world. In more recent years, it has become host to not just comics, but pop culture as a whole. Stars make appearances, films debut, video games blow our minds, toys hit our wish lists, and people from all walks of life, from fans to producers, from creators to printers, from children to adults all converge to relish in the experience.
What did Zedura get out of it? Well, we were able to show off the print magazine to thousands of people who had never heard of it, explaining what it’s all about and demonstrating what’s special about it. Those who picked it up and flipped through had one universal comment ~ there’s a lot of content! That’s the idea and we plan to keep that moving forward. We hope if you picked up a copy, you told a friend. If you’re a store, we hope you’re going to order and carry the magazine now so your loyal customers can enjoy it, too. If you’re not a comic book fan, we ask that you give the magazine a chance, because there’s so much more to it!
In the coming weeks/months, we’ll continue to share the best content the industries have to offer, get subscriptions up and running, and get into more markets to make it easier and easier to get your hands on new issues!
Special thanks to Chris Claremont, Thomas Jane, Matt Kindt, Malese Jow, and the Bella Twins for their appearances at our booth and to Stan Lee for helping to make some fans’ dreams come true!
